Choosing A Newborn Care Facility

As parents to newborns gradually go back to work, the decision to enroll the newborn into a newborn care DC facility can be a difficult one. Parents should take time to thoroughly review each newborn care facility to determine which one will best suit them. Newborn care facilities generally only enroll a newborn at over eight weeks old. Parents should ask the newborn care facility for references and even make a surprise visit to the facility. Most states require that the newborn care facility be licensed and insured, as well as be inspected by the health department on regular intervals. The facility should have proper maintenance and cleaning procedures in place to prevent illness in the children.
